Hip Hop Zumba?

Ok so here's my dilemma. I would like to do an exercise workout to today's hip hop songs like I've heard Hip Hop Zumba does. I don't care for the music with the standard Zumba. I love to dance and I think I would enjoy the workout a lot more with hip hop music. From what I can tell, I don't think Hip Hop Abs has music like you hear on the radio. The video I"ve seen sounds like a monotonous faced-paced beat with no singing/rapping. YAWN So my question is, does anyone know of a workout video that fits this bill? I haven't been able to find a hip hop Zumba DVD, only classes. It's difficult to always get to classes since I am a night nurse and my schedule is always changing. Any suggestions?

Try turning down the volume of the dvd and play your own tunes. I dl a zumba mix and it had a zumba/hip hop feel to it.

i was thinking the same thing!! i would consider doing zumba if i didnt have to listen to that crap they play. i just cant take it...hip hop would be dope at least.
  • I hear that...my favorite class is the hip hop zumba class and I wish I could do it at home when I can't make it to the classes!!

The Zumba classes I take play lots of modern hip hop songs. She usually alternates between Latin and hip hop, with some bellydance thrown in. So I think it really depends on the instructor what type of music is played. I'd recommend trying out different classes until you find one you like.

Just realized I didn't fully read the post, and you're looking for a DVD. I'll ask my instructor is she knows of one.

Have you tried Hip Hop Abs from Shaun T? I heard its fun. Just went to my first Zumba class last night as I normally do it at home and they did hip hop music. I am waiting on my shipment from Hip Hop Abs to arrive, but I would check it out, it might be something you like. It has a lot of dancing like Zumba too.
