Just wondering how everyone else that has gotten to this point did. How difficult was it compared to the rest of the program? I am doing it sometime this week.

  • I did better than I thought I would, and most of the people I know who did it say the same thing. Remember that most of what keeps you from being able to run is mental, not physical. Remember that you don't have to run fast, and every time your brain says you can't do it any more, don't believe it. Tell it "Yes, I can."

    You can do it!

Ahhh, I start week 5 tonight. I'm nervous, but as Eleisbelle said I have quickly learned that my body has more ability to run than my brain thinks it does.

I'm not having as much trouble with the running as I am the weather. I'm on Week 7 Day 1. Last week the wind was so strong I could not finish my second run. (I do it 2 times in a row). This morning it was only 37 Degrees. The occational rain doesn't bother me, but the sprinklers do - go figure. I did go out and purchase new 2nd layer running clothes and I'm glad I did. I thought week 5 was intimidating but after the first day, I was ok. Good Luck!
  • Did day 3 this morning and ran the whole 20 minutes!! Literally shouted Woot when it said halfway. Then managed to kick it up a notch when it said one minute remaining. You can do it! Dont quit on yourself!!

Thank you everyone for you info. :) I am sure I can do it.. . . We shall see. I think I am going to try it tonight. If not I will stay at W5D3 until I can. I haven't had to repeat anything yet so I hope that I will not start now.

Any C25k'ers feel free to add me!
  • Ditto--I've finished C25K and B210K and am prepping myself to train for a half-marathon. But I'm willing to be a good support for any new runner as I continue becoming a better one. Not to mention willing to listen to others' experiences who may be farther along than I!

    Have fun!
