I pretty much eat what I want within reason. I don't binge or anything but I don't get down for going over my calories. I figure once in a while is ok otherwise I will feel imprisoned by a diet and I will say screw it :happy:0

tacos. but it isn't cheating if my bf watches, right?
no....or i fhe adds a bit of something extra to the dish....this is completely acceptable

I eat the same things I eat everyday, just larger portions. I.E. 2 bars of snickers, 2 bowls of ice cream, 2 pieces of cake, etc.

It's not what I eat, it's what I drink.
BOOZE. And lots of it. Amazingly enough, I'm always at least 4 lbs lighter in the morning, too
That is because you are dehydrated...something to do with how the alcohol processes in your body. The weight will usually come back!
so..should we weigh in while we're still drunk??? :sick:0 -
small children mostly
this doesn't count. negative net calories after chasing them down, skinning them, dismembering them, and fitting them into the food processor.0 -

Normally I will have a cheat meal and it will be chinese food. But even then I make sure the rest of the days intake in very low-calorie so that I stary below or near to my calorie goal.0

I "cheat" every Saturday, usually 4000+ calories, and this past week was Pizza, Meatball sub, Arby's Roast Beef, curly fries and triple chocolate cheescake. Then I eat clean for then next 6 days.
I typically lose about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds a week. My Biggest loss is usually shown on the morning of the cheat day.
My diary is public check this past Saturday if you wish.0 -
go to my pictures and you shall see what my cheat meal is

My cheat days are usually on days we go to an amusement park. Yesterday, while at Universal Studios I had french toast for breakfast and a five guys burger for lunch, then I had cheerios for dinner and hope I walked off the rest of it.0

Thats freaking amazing! do you go over your total daily calorie limit though, or still stay within?
i dont drink but if i could lose 4lbs AFTER drinking, i might be tempted :P
Well, I think my RDI is set pretty low as it is, so of course I go over. Usually never over 2100 calories though, and I like to work some exercise in on those days (not a whole lot, I'm fairly lazy).
I never get munchy when I drink though, so I must look like quite the alcoholic on those days!0 -

yes.
And yes, obviously I know I'm dehydrated, but having that one cheat day a week for the past year has never ruined my WOE for the rest of the week. I think if I didn't have it, I would have lost my sanity and given up on losing. The only weight that seems to come back is like, 2 lbs at the very most. Nothing crazy, so it doesn't bother me.0 -
As for me, I cheat a little every day for something I want. However, I manage to stay within the MFP calories, carbs, ect so I don't know if that is really cheating. If I deprive myself completely, I won't be able to stay on this for the long haul. So far I am on track and could not be happier with this site.
I am the same way. I had tried limiting myself to strictly healthy stuff so many times in the past and just couldn't do it but this time, I still eat some of the foods I love. I try to make them healthier though and try to stay within my MFP calories. Each person has to decide what is right for them.0 -
 I never allow myself the luxury of a cheat day :sad:0

I've been reading how some people see their greatest loss the day after a cheat day, and I'm curious as to what you eat?
I allow myself a small piece of something sugary like a block of chocolate or a few gummy bears every day.
Not sure if I still get a cheat day then
The reason for the loss might be that after a long time of not having that 'bad' food your body is thrown out of whack from the usual 'healthier' option. It sounds crazy but I THINK it makes your body work harder to get rid of it therefore it works more efficiently-- if that makes any sense! :ohwell:
I don't really have cheat days built into my schedule. I basically make sure I choose better food options and eat at home all the time. My cheat would be going out to eat every once and a while and when I do I make sure I can count it and stay within my goals. I love eating out and training myself to make better options out will help me in the long run even after the weight loss.0 -
My favorite cheat meal is the pizza sub from my favorite local place. It's soooo good and I have no way of knowing how many calories are in it because they're not a national chain and if you ask they just shrug. I take that as a bad sign, but am encouraged that it comes on a wheat roll :P
bwahhaha wheat roll - that cant be a cheat can it?
ok now i'm hungry0 -
Either restaurant food (would depend on where), pizza (delivery), or mac and cheese.0
