goal calories or net calories

I am so confused on this issue. My goal calories are 1200 but by the time I exercise I usually have an extra 500. Do I keep eating until my net calories reach 1200 or my food intake reaches 1200?

I'm confused with this one to! I am also 1200 calories and don't know if I am meant to eat the energy I've burned!
I'm guessing if you don't eat it, it might lead to exhaustion? Sometimes if I do 500 cal worth of exercise, I only put down 300!0 -

MFP already figures in a deficit for you (based on the amount of weight you told it you want to lose per week) and expects that you'll eat back the calories you burn during exercise to maintain that pre-set deficit.0
