Hi guys, I'm going to Miami in 2 weeks, and I desperately need quick exercise or diet tips to get in shape for wearing bikini! Does anyone have any suggestions??
right now I'm keeping daily calories under 1200, and it is helping me losing weight but just so slow....
Diet, recipe, suggestions....anything will do!! thanks!

Almost nothing substantial can be done in 2 weeks time, except for shopping for cute coverups.

Wear your bikini and be proud of your body, because it's yours. Eat at LEAST 1200 calories, because eating less than that isn't good for you at all. Love your body for the way it is, and lose weight for your health, not because you think you might not look 'good' in a bikini. Because you will look good. You will ALWAYS look good, because you are beautiful.0

go to bodyrock.tv/ and start doing some of her work outs at home...they are AMAZING. You will def tone up0

I would start Jillian Michael's 30 day shred today. I would also make sure you eat AT LEAST 1200 calories -- not below. From personal experience over the last few months, I did not lose, or lost very slowly, when I did that. Your body will burn more efficiently if you keep it at or slightly above 1200 calories. (I personally have a goal of around 1200, but allow up to 1400. I have lost consistently.) Besides that, the 30 day shred will really tone you up. There was a noticeable difference after 5 days of workouts. Good luck...and enjoy Miami!0

I respecfully disagree. There was a measurable (in inches) difference after 5 days of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred.0 -
Juice fast/cleanse maybe? Not much is going to work in 2 weeks0

You cant lose a large amount of weight in that time but you can cut back on sodium and drink lots of water to reduce any bloating (looking/feeling puffy).0

Oh cool!!! thanks a lot I'll try that! I've been so afraid to go over my 1200 cals since it's mfp's goal for me, but now I'm start to think it's not that horrible to go over a little bit!I would start Jillian Michael's 30 day shred today. Depends on the individual. I have not seen these said inches. Everyone has different results.0 -

feeling puffy is always one of my problems, my legs could look thinner in the morning, and by afternoon they'll look bigger. And so is my face. So annoying!! is it because I drank too much water? or ate salty food? I'm not sure what's going on0

Blah blah blah to all the other responses.
Go topless. No one will notice a little pudge.

if you are very tiny then under 1200 might be ok - that number applies to MOST people but it isn't necessarily a good fit for very petite people (I'm talkin VERY tiny here, under 5')
you're going to get better results from adding workouts though -STRENGTH based workouts, not cardio. cardio burns calories but it does nothing to tighten up your body. a basic strength routine 3x a week will give you 6 workouts - you should see a difference within 6 workouts but as others have said you won't drop 10 lbs in 2 weeks or anything.
people also seem to do well with 30ds - my personal preference is to lift heavier and slower over waving around 2lb weights fast but that's me.0 -
yeah...thanks! LOLBlah blah blah to all the other responses.

I would say up your water intake. That way your body isn't tempted to store water and make you bloat, Also if you tend towards salty food, cut down on it as well.
For a tip that isn't weight loss related but still something I find helpful you should pamper yourself a bit before your trip. Body scrubs and moisturizing well etc can make you feel 100% better about your body and ready to show it off0 -
If you eat too much salty food your body will retain water. Drinking lots of water helps flush it out. Keeping your sodium levels under control also helps, of course.
30 day shred will help you tone up if you are currently not exercising. If you just started monitoring your calories i would probably stick with what MFP suggests for these two weeks. If youve been doing this awhile, it could help to add in one or two hundred extra calories. Especially if you are working out.
Have fun in Miami!0 -
ok noted, more water!
haha definitely going to pamper myself before I go, thanks~~~~! xI would say up your water intake. That way your body isn't tempted to store water and make you bloat, Also if you tend towards salty food, cut down on it as well.

I see. Yeah I've been plateau at my current weight for about 2 weeks now, so maybe it's time for some change. Thanks a lot!! xxIf you eat too much salty food your body will retain water. Drinking lots of water helps flush it out. Keeping your sodium levels under control also helps, of course.

Thanks so much for the tips about work out, I've never been an active person, but this time seriously I'm gonna change that!
I'm not petite type, 5'7", so 1200 so far seems appropriate?if you are very tiny then under 1200 might be ok - that number applies to MOST people but it isn't necessarily a good fit for very petite people (I'm talkin VERY tiny here, under 5')

get tan; go to tanny booth; regardless of weight you will look healthier and more attractive if you are tan before you walk out on the beach0

I live near Miami, yea there are plenty of hot bodies on the beach, but there are also plenty of flabby ones. Just come to the beach and enjoy the warm weather in what ever you want to wear. No one will bother you at all.
Hope you enjoy your trip!0 -
aw, thank you! xx
yeah I guess so, just want to look nice for my boobooI live near Miami, yea there are plenty of hot bodies on the beach, but there are also plenty of flabby ones. Just come to the beach and enjoy the warm weather in what ever you want to wear. No one will bother you at all.

Stay FAR AWAY from breads, pasta, corn, potatoes, sugars & starches. Eat meat and low carb vegies (salads (no carrots), with regular dressing (not low fat), and canned asparagus or green beans with butter. This will put your body in ketosis, and burn the fat you have stored.
You'll lose weight lightning fast===========
Go online to Atkins.com OR to your library & start doing the INDUCTION. This is low carb eating but it works faster than anything I've ever done.
I just started it again. Love to eat and have fallend off the wagon but when I go back on I start to lose the first day.
Gd luck and have fun~0 -
Oh, and don't 4get to run, walk or dance ur a** off during wt loss. It will speed it up. Drink alot of water (8-10 glasses per day).
You'll pee alot but with low carb eating, drinking water and exercising - hey you're gonna look GOOD~0 -

I lived in Miami for 4 years growing up, and I have to agree with this. HOWEVER....if you are an 80+ year old, bean-pole of a man, PLEASE DEAR GOD don't wear a thong wienie wrap and bend over in front of some impressionable (and easily scarred) pre-teen / early teen girls. I am almost 35 years old and still have not managed to bleach my brain of that image *shudder*0 -
Low carb? wow that's hard for me >_< haha I'll try!! thanks~~Stay FAR AWAY from breads, pasta, corn, potatoes, sugars & starches.
