Ok, so I've been creating a new topic every 10 lbs I lose. I posted a 30 lbs lost topic and now I'm happy to say that I'm posting my 40 lbs down :) I started MFP 207 lbs, although I have been heavier throughout the years. Senior year I lost all kinds of weight, mainly due to the fact that I fell in love with this certain someone and I would get nerous to the point that I would get sick if I ate in front of him (silly girls and their silly nerves, lol) so a lot of times I would eat before or after I would see him, which equaled out to me eating less junk food because I wouldn't ever snack in front of him because of my nerves. I started college fall of '07 and managed to not gain my freshman 15 until '09. Then I gained the freshman 50 >.< At the end of last year I was looking at pics, old and current and I was ashamed and digusted with myself. I knew there was a healthier, skinnier me underneath all that fat. I knew that I could lose this weight and, if I was dedicated enough, I would keep this stupid weight off! So my new year's resolution has been to weigh 145 by the end of the year and keep that weight off! I uploaded the MFP app around March, but didn't start to officially use it consistently until June. This summer I kicked some major booty and lost around 25 lbs before school started and I have continued to maintain my lost, even though it's a little slower going since school has started. I am never looking back! Unless I'm looking at those senior pics of myself :P And now, here's some pics to show my journey!

This is my junior year with my psycho, ex-boyfriend

:) hope you've enjoyed the journey! Just 21 lbs to go and I'll be at 145 :) I also want to note that the green blouse I have on in the Feb '10 pic is the same one I have on in San Antonio!

During the summer I did two months of P90X, but when college started I couldn't find time to fit everything in my schedule, so I opted out to riding my bike up the rode, going to the gym, or even running in place while watching tv at night. I have basically just logged everything and make sure I'm always under my calorie goal when I complete my logs for the day. I always try to eat at least 1200 cals but no more than 1500 cals. I always bring snacks with me to school that are healthy, like 100 calorie snack packs and I have become addicted to yo crunch yogurt. They have the greek kind, strawberry parfait, and then the plain yogurt with M&M's, Reese's, or Oreo's as a topping. The ones with the candy only run about 140 cals. Sodium has also been a big kicker for me. When I started watching my sodium, the pounds started coming off. If I do consume a lot of sodium in a day, I try to drink an extra water bottle or two to try to balance it. I also let myself indulgence in things and even have that mixed alcoholic drink every now and then, but I don't over do it. It's mainly all about portion control, watching out for sodium, getting up and exercising, and just saying NO, even though those yummy brownies look like little pieces of heaven LOL.
