Hey everyone, so i need some sort of filling food that will be able to be kept in my car during class until i can i can get it at lunch. I usually eat just an apple for lunch but i need something more substantial so i don't over eat when i get home from work. Anyone have any ideas??

Apple and PowerBar Protein Plus Dulce de Leche. 30g of protein. It's a meal.
Also, you could keep some frosted mini-wheats in your car. Just pop 'em like a snack.0 -
Almonds, flavored or raw, a little handful is so satisfying and keeps well. Also they're only 160 per ounce. Or jerky. It also keeps really well and the protein helps make you feel satisfied for a long time.0

almonds, wraps with almond butter or peanut butter and bananas or apples, baby carrots. Kashi bars are quick grab items too that will hold you for a while. (Not horrendous as far as the nutrition goes)0

Almonds, rice cake, raisins or other dried fruit, some sort of jerky....0

Beef jerky would probably be good.0

Guess we like almonds0

Anything with an ice pack? Sandwich? Salad?0

popcorn! You can have a LOT of it for few calories.0

I agree that an insulated lunch bag and an ice pack really expands your options.
Otherwise, I would go for nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, granola bars, etc. Just read the labels before you decide.0 -
soy joy bars (no chocolate so they don't melt)
shaker bottle and protein powder
pb & j
dry cereal
tuna pouches and crackers
homemade protein muffins (see my post about pumpkin muffins or PM)
frozen fruit in a tupperware and it will be cold and melty by lunch
oatmeal "cookies"
rice cakes w/ peanut butter0
