your set activity level should be adjusted in regards to your average day. i would put it down as lightly active. we all tend to over-estimate how active we are, and under-estimate how much we eat.0 -

You should have your activity level set to how your day is normally, and then add whatever exercise you do for the day.0

A lot of people dont log the walking/standing they are doing at work because your body gets used to doing it everyday so it doesn't work the same way as, say, going for a jog would.0

You burn about 50 calories per hour more by standing than seating (it maybe less or more depending on your weight, etc)! So yes either adjust your activity level, or don't and just log it as exercise based per hour, so 50 x hours you worked I would get a HRM monitor to find out more acurately0

I think it's different for everyone - I don't tend to log my daily activities. Even worked on the floor as a nurse, I did not count that into my exercise.0

Exercise is usually classified as any activity you are doing over and above your normal daily routine. I'm a dog groomer which is a relatively active job. My Doctor said I couldn't count my work as exercise. Boo Hoo!0

I don't log my standing as exercise-I figure if I could have considered it as exercise before I would have lost wait doing it. I'm in the Navy, with days I'm on my feet and walking around most of the shift with my weapons and gear on, and other days I'm in a patrol unit sitting down a lot more. I only have my activity level set to lightly active-I eat healthy food and exercise a lot and I'm losing at a healthy pace. Personally, I wouldn't log standing as exercise-it doesn't raise your heartbeat to stand.0

I don't take into account any of the activity I do at work or even while at home [such as carrying boxes, doing chores, carrying babies, etc.] because it isn't a sustained amount of cardio energy being expended. I only count my gym workouts or exra walks/jogs outside of work and training, as these seem to make the largest impact on my overall health and fitness goals. A sustained fast-paced walk, jog, bike ride or other cardio activity will burn more calories and demand more of your body than the normal start-stop-start-stop activities we engage in at work.0
