Does anyone know? I have no idea how many calories are burned or how to enter this into my diary. I have been saying low impact aerobics 20 minutes but that doesn't seem right. Help! :) Thanks in advance.

My HRM usually hits an average of 245 calories burnt each time I do it, but it's going to be very different depending on who's doing it, and how much effort they're really putting into it. I've seen a lot of burns between 200-250 for level 1 though, good luck!

    i use circuit training, general
  • I have been recording it under circuit training. I think most people do. 20mins burns around 200 calories for me.

The only way you'll know for sure (or at least more accurately than a guess) is to get a HRM.

I burn about 165 calories on Level 1 if I go hard at it - and I'm 5'9 and weigh about 245lbs.

Thanks everyone! So I should have been using "Circuit Training" instead of aerobics. I thought so that didn't seem right because of all the floor work. Now I am nervous about my calories because I tend to eat back the calories from exercise. I feel like I am a newbie screwing it all up!

Just go easy on eating your calories back - remember it's entirely your choice if you do eat them and you don't necessarily have to eat them all.
