My question to you is:

Do you set out your goal each week in advance?
Like train 4-5 days at 30 plus minutes. i.e Monday, run.. Tuesday, elliptical, Wednesday, swim.

I know some of you are doing courses like Insanity, 30DS, and things like that so that is your schedule and I still like to know what you have planned.

I have a particular program I am working on until the end of the year because I am trying to compete in an event which means I have to train a little differently.

I am working out 5 days a week.
2x's bike riding (60 plus minutes)
2x's running (35 plus minutes)
1x crossfit training (55 minutes)

I will do this all of October and in November switch to:
1x bike riding (60 plus minutes)
2x's running (35 plus minutes)
2x crossfit training (55 minutes)

Thanks.. I wanted to see what a typical day is for others and glad that we are all living a healthier lifestyle.
We all have 24 hours in a day and I am happy to see that we are using some of that time to better ourselves.

Mine definitely changes throughout the year. For the past 3 months it was:

Mon: CrossFit or rest (listen to how my body feels)
    Tues: 60min swim workout
Wed: 30min weights; 30-60 cardio (either bike, swim, or run at the gym)
    Thurs: 60min track workout
Fri: 30 min weights; 30-60 cardio (same as Wed)
    Sat: 60min bike workout
Sun: rest or long run or bike ride

This was in preparation for my Olympic distance triathlon. For the winter off-season, I anticipate this:
CrossFit 3x/week (whatever days fit best)
    Swim 2x/week (weekdays)
    Shorter bike/run 1x/week ea.
Sat/Sun - long runs or rides

Unfortunately that routine can't really start until November, since I'm traveling most of October. Ah well!

I'm training for a 1/2 so my schedule currently looks like this:
    3x week - run
    2-3x week - weights/cross training.

Sun - Long run (6-12 mi)
    Mon - Weights
Tues - Short run (2-6 mi)
    Wed - Rest
    Thurs - Weights
Fri - Short run (2-6 mi)
    Sat - Weights or Rest

I stretch for 10-20 minutes after everything (including foam rolling, using a ball, and/or yoga).

Looks like you are training for a Tri - good luck!

    Mondays - Crossfit, 30ds
    Tuesdays - Crossfit, Crossfit Endurance
    Wednesdays - Crossfit, 30 ds
Thursday - Crossfit (skills), Crossfit Endurance (alternate week)
Friday - off or Crossfit (alternating weeks)
    Saturday - Crossfit
    Sunday - off

The off days switch, but this is pretty standard, if not doing the 30 ds, then swimming in the mornings

I normally do Lyle McDonald's specialization routine and target various areas for about a month at a time. But I'm doing his RFL program now and so I do full body tension workouts 2-3 times a week, zero cardio. I started it yesterday and dropped 4 pounds of water weight, lol!

Saw some great regimens here and I think I may switch out a bike day to play basketball.
Never messed with the HIIT program but may look into adding that in the beginning of the year.
Not familiar with Lyle McDonald's routine and I'm not at the compound lifting phase yet.

Right now I am seeing results with what I am doing and b/c of you all I know when I hit a plateau I have some options to try.
    Thank you!

p.s. I can't believe I forgot to add yoga into my workouts. I really want to have one day dedicated to that. (that's it' I am bumping it to 5-6 days a week now)

You definitely should! Lol. The hubby has me hooked on shooting around with him at the gym now. I'm definitely getting a lot better. Made 8 outta 10 free throws yesterday!!
