Obstical Races

On Monday Oct 4 I started running in plans to compete in a few mini marathons, a lot of 5Ks and a few obstacle races in 2012. Interested in finding training tips. I plan on running at least 3 mornings a week plus do a couple Body Pump and Body Attack Classes. I realize Obstacle is spelled wrong for the title!

When I was training for my mud run I found a place where I could do interval laps of about 100 yards at a play ground. I would run 200 - 400 yards and then do one of the listed obstacles, get up, run 200 - 400 yards and do another one, and interval train for it that way. It actually was not only an awesome workout, but really did get me ready for the up and downs.0
