Problem area....

Hi there, was hoping someone who used to be in my position may read this and have some advice!

I carry the majority of my weight in my upper body, in particular my arms and back! My start weight was 171lbs and I have already lost 18lbs, but most of this seems to have come off my legs and bum, which if fine, but I don't seem to be losing any from my back rolls and massive arms!!

I exercise every day with dog walking while pushing a pram, zumba dvds (including use of toning sticks) and occasion running with dogs - any tips on specific types of exercise that will target arm and back fat?

Thanks

It sounds like you're doing plenty of cardio, but maybe you need to be doing a bit more strength training. You'll need to be doing a good combination of the two to really see a difference and tone the problem areas.

You cannot target fat loss, your body loses where it wants to lose from. That being said I would highly recommend adding strength training to your routine.
  • Definitely keep up with the cardio for the overall fat loss, but if you want to do some upper body toning, do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Use the Search box above to look up Ultimate 30 Day Shred results. Then look at al the pictures of people's backs. The back fat roll always disappears! I know that my arms and upper back got toned considerably in the 9 days that I had done level one. And my chest went down in inch or so, which I atttribute to the back toning up! Good luck!

You may not believe this, but I literally just bought that on Amazon a few minutes ago before reading your post! So glad to hear it works well and thanks for all the advice everyone!
