How do you log an exercise that you don't know the name of? For instance, I sometimes do exercises I see in magazines or on youtube or via late night infomertial, lol and I don't always know the name of said exercise to put it into my log and see how many calories I've burned- what do I do?

I wouldn't recommend doing the exercise before you figure out what it is - too many exercises you can hurt yourself accidentally if you don't use the correct form (particularly strength exercises).

I'd recommend Googling the exercise (exercise <body part> <type of activity>) and find an exercise site that shows the exercise, and walks you through the correct form.
  • If I was in your shoes I would google the general description of the exercise. MFP does not have ALL exercises on here, so when you DO find the name and it doesn't populate, you can add an exercise. When you do so, you will need to know how many calories you have burned, which you could probably find out through other websites that may track such exercise for their calculator.
