Business trips... tips for a newbie road warrior?

'ello. I'm spending increasing amounts of time on the road - ie: parked on my backside on trains, planes and in taxis. Unfortunately this isn't good for keeping the size of my backside in check.
I've started packing or buying my own food to take on airlines, which raises a few eyebrows (and the occasional bit of jealousy from other passengers when they're faced with Virgin Atlantic's soggy steamed grilled cheese).
What tips have you got for eating healthily when working away?

I really struggle with this. For the past 2 years I've been on the road almost every week (this is only the 2nd week this year I've been home). I try and still do some shopping for lunch foods that I can keep in my hotel fridge like lunch meats and veggies and bread. Dinner is harder but I just try and plan out my meal before I get to the restaurant. That way no surprises on my caloric intake. Basically its a lot of planning but if you do it in advance its easier to avoid temptation. And if there's one night everyone really wants to go out to a place together, well, I just watch what I eat but I don't kill myself over it either.
And I always having my running gear with me 8)0
