A change up in the routine

For variety yesterday I started my strength routine with full power cleans instead of deadlifts or leg presses, which I alternate between on lift days.
All I can say is wow! What a great lift. It totally worked the whole body. My shoulders were zapped enough after the cleans that i had to drop the weight on my flat bench dumbbell presses.
So if you are needing a little variety on your heavy compound lifts to get more days between deadlifts, give full power cleans a try. Just start light to get a feel for the movement.

Nice and thanks...I don't usually do dead lifts but at the end of my circuit routine I usually do 3 cleans while sucking in the gut as much as possible and taking deep breaths at the same time...I forgot what this is actually called but it really works the abs as well as everything else!! Good going and congrats on the 73lbs lost - that is just awesome!!!!0
