What's the one thing that would have made your nursing school experience more pleasant?
(My hubby's in the 1st semester.)

If I didn't have to work full-time while enrolled in school full-time.

As far as coursework.. Charts, charts, charts! Condense power points into easy to study charts (made in Word with Smart Art).

Feel free to PM me with questions.

If I would have had more confidence in myself. Eventually I did and now have been a registered nurse for 30 years. If I can help in any way, please let me!

I'm also in my first semester of nursing school. A lot of work, but having my first patient last week makes it all worth it. I want to be more confident, too!

I'm currently in nursing school. I would have done it before I had a family and husband. Of course that's just not possible. Luckily I don't have to work (much) while in school.

Just tell him, keep his head down and push through it. As his wife know that it's going to suck too and you'll miss him a lot even if he's in the same room because he's so busy. It is only a short amount of time!

PS tell him thanks! We need more men!!

I agree. If I did not have to work full-time AND go to school! Although I did make all A's and one B the entire time I was in nursing school. It was very very hard!

I worked 32 hours a week when I went to nursing school, it kept me out of trouble, and gave me enough money to support myself. Plenty of time to study, no money to date... it is tough to have a life outside of the school. I went to a diploma school and lived in a dorm attached to the hospital.
