Uhm... I don't know what to say. I just found Myfitnesspal, and I hope it can really help me. I've had body issues since I was younger, and I'm giving up. I hate my body, and that's making me miserable. I've tried every unhealthy avenue, and always end up putting the weight right back on, so me and my best friend are trying to do it right this time. I'm hoping by using mfp to my advantage I can get the body I've always dreamed of.

Oh! And my name is Krissy =]

For the record you dont have to be thin to be "beautiful" that idea is in your head.
And you dont have to be thin to be loved..if someone told you that they are a *kitten*.
You should be healthy because it is good for you and it is what you want.

That. And... Nobody will love you if you don't love yourself. If you're fat and love yourself, you'll be loved. If you're skinny and hate yourself, you still won't be loved. Make sense? Do this for you.

Krissy -- good luck to you on your healthy lifestyle journey. I'm a strong believer in getting and keeping your mind strong because the mental part of the journey can often be tougher than the physical part. if you think about the reasons you've failed in the past, I bet a good deal of it can be attributed to some sort of mental breakdown (and complacency fits in that category). anyway, think about the reasons you've failed in the past...mental and physical reasons. come up with ways that you can avoid those breakdowns this time. write all of this down. then write down at least 10 specific things you hate about being overweight. put it on your profile or in a place you will be able to access. you're going to want to read this list often....especially when the will power starts to wane.

hmalin1- I've failed in the past, typically because every time I start doing well something bad happens. (my parents got divorced, I moved, my mom passed away) But this time.... I'm tired of being miserable. I'm tired of being fat. God! I have a scarification on my thigh that says "FAT". I have to look at that every day... If I don't succeed this time, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Thanks for the advice =] I'll try it.
