Younger Next Year

Hi All,
I thought you all might appreciate a great book suggestion from my trainer. It is called Younger Next Year and there is a female and male version but they are very similar. I am about half way thru and it is a great, motivating book. The basic premise is that exercise 6 times a week is the key way to signal your brain to stop your body from decaying from age. It is written by a doctor and is based on the premise that once you hit your 40s and 50s if you aren't sending the right signals to your brain the next 30 years of your life will be spent decaying and you will be unable to stay active after retirement time. The part of the brain he is talking about is primitive and sends out signals to cells, organs, etc based on the signals you send it by your lifestyle choices. Activity sends your brain "growth" signals instead of decay signals. A sedentary life style sends decay messages to the brain so it acts accordingly.
The good news is that this is all preventable with consistent exercise. Anyway, I haven't finished it yet, but I thought I would share because it was a big motivator for me....a girl in her 40s ; )

I would love to read that, but unfortunately my brain has forgotten to signal my eyes not to degenerate. I work out 6 days but I can't see a damn thing!0

Yeah, I read it. It wasn't very enlightening for me. I already exercise. The entire book could have been condensed into 5-10 bullet points.0

Know someone else who's currently reading this, think my mother might be getting it for Xmas.0
