I'm going to be 100% honest here, Chobani isn't my favorite for nonfat greek yoghurt. I would actually recommend either Dannon's Oikos or Yoplait's yoghurt. The texture is nicer and a lot of them have lower sugar content. Both are very yummy though :-)

Fellow Greek Yogurt Nut..have tried many, but my favorite is Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt-Vanilla. The texture is smooth and addictive. Got most of my coworkers hooked..we call each other Addicts.."we gotta have it!'
  • I like Chobani (plain, peach, or strawberry) with Kashi berry crumble mixed in....it is DIVINE!

All start with plain, 0% yogurt (Fage preferred, Safeway brand Open Nature second, Dannon Oikos third, Chobani and Stoneyfield Farms Organic Oikos never)

Add two-three tablespoons of pumpkin puree and cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger to taste. You can add a packet of sweetener if you'd like, but I prefer it without. This one is also awesome if you pop it in the freezer for awhile, just to chill and get a little frozen, not frozen solid. It's like an uber creamy pumpkin ice cream.

One - two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and one packet of your preferred sweetener.

Two packets of your preferred sweetener.

    One teaspon of ground cinnamon.

Two tablespoons of PB2 (regular or chocolate)

Go savory and make what I call a poor man's tzatziki. Grate some cucumber into it, add a little lemon juice, some chopped dill and some garlic (I prefer putting it through a press). Then enjoy it with veggies.

I never have the flavored ones, but I love Greek yogurt. I like it with fresh sliced strawberries, fresh blueberries, or fresh pineapple.

It's also good to use it on things as if it were sour cream. I sometimes have baked potatoes with Greek yogurt and it tastes very close to sour cream on the potato.

I've never heard of that before, but it sounds good! How much of each do you use?

Chobani Vanilla + lime juice + 1 tsp sugar + crumbled graham cracker on top = Key Lime Pie

I also like mixing in strawberries & almonds, and I'm looking forward to pumpkin.

Dannon Okino's Strawberry or Keylime flavored are my favorites.

Same goes for Chobani Peach and Plain with sugar and ovaltine.

Not a big fan of Yoplait Greek.. Way to bitter in my opinion.

I eat the vanilla because I believe it has the least calories. I crumble one pumpkin spice Kashi bar in it for some crunch.

    My "chocolate mousse" substitute:

6 oz Greek yogurt - plain non fat (I prefer Fage brand, Total 0%)
    1 packet Stevia-In-The-Raw
    1-2 DROPS Vanilla Extract
    1 DROP Almond Extract
    1-2 teaspoons plain Cocoa

This makes a smooth, creamy, chocolaty dessert that reminds me of a thick, rich chocolate mousse. Delish!

    My "peach cobbler" substitute:
    6 oz Greek Yogurt
    1 packet Stevia-In-The-Raw
    1-2 DROPS Vanilla Extract
    1 DROP Almond Extract
Small sprinkling of Apple Pie Spice
Spoonful of Simply Fruit Peach Jelly

    :drinker:

    Ice

My fav is Oikos fruit on the bottom. Any kind....but after reading all these posts, I think I'm going to have to buy the plain and add some stuff of my own.

Try Oiko's Greek Yogurt! I found that the flavor is much like regular yogurt and you don't get that bitter taste when you eat it.

Chobani my favorite was always Mango

My favorites are Chobani Pineapple and Mango for flavors....YUMMMMMMMM!!!! The key is to NOT stir it up. Chobani recommends dipping your spoon in, grabbing a little fruit from the bottom and spooning it up with the plain. It makes a big difference in taste and texture. Also, Fage 0% plain with a tablespoon of real honey is AMAZING. Fage is very fluffy, almost whipped in texture. You should try it!

Also made a Tziki sauce out of the plain greek yogurt to use instead of mayo. Of course I'd love to have a gyro right now.

I just get plain chobani yogurt and put my own drizzle of honey on it. Significantly less sugar that way!
