So, a couple of weeks back I posted because I was in car accident back in May and I was diagnosed with soft tissue damage. I was told by the dr to make a follow up appointment if I didn't feel better after 2-4 weeks. Well, it's been a little over 4 months, so I went to get checked out again.
The other Dr. took x-rays just to be sure. I was just sent an email that I have mild arthritis in my hip! OMG! I'm going to be 30 in March. I lost a lot of weight, but with this injury, and now diagnosis, I have had to cut back on working out. I have put some weight back on.
I am soo depressed.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury! Have you considered massage therapy and chiropractic care? I am a massage therapist and I often work closely with chiropractors because often both are needed with injuries, especially motor vehicle accidents. Massage and chiro appts won't fix the arthritis, but it can definitely be helpful in relieving some of the pain and recovery sooner.

Also, I am only 24 and have arthritis in my neck. I know it sounds scary, and it's definitely not something to brush off, but arthritis is a result of life - just like a car, it's so perfect when it's brand new, but even if you work really hard to keep it in great condition, mileage starts to add up :) Live your life as healthy as you can, but remember, your body wasn't made to last forever.

Keep pushing. Life isn't over just because you have arthritis. I have arthritis in my knees, hips, ankles and back. I refuse to let it stop me.
