I have no experience with this brand but I bought a cheap HRM on Woot years ago, and found it perfectly adequate to track workout calories. For those of you who go to large classes at the gym, though, a word of warning-- some of the less expensive HRMs cross signals with other people's HRMs if you wear them in close proximity to another HRM, so if you're thinking of using this for a spin/zumba/etc. class, then you might want to shell out for one of the more expensive models that has a coded signal.
