Good morning people!

This is not MFP related but I thought I could get some help here. I lost my phone last night which I realized in the morning. Now, it appears to be switched off. It was a Sony Xperia X10. I did not download the app to track stolen phones (sigh) and I can't go with the "Plan B" app since my phone is android 1.6 and it only runs on versions over 2.

Any help in trying to recover the the phone, recover the data and other tips are much appreciated!!

Thanks,

-D

I don't have any tips... just lots of sympathy. What a crappy thing to happen. :( Hope you're able to find it soon!!!

Have you tried retracing your steps, to see if you can locate it. Someone might have handed it in at the places you went to.

Did you have google latitude on it? Its a part of google maps and is on most Android phones, If so you might be able to log onto goole lattitude from a computer and see where it last had a signal (it uses GPS and cell towers to locate.

Without apps like Lookout Mobile, Where's My Droid, etc., it won't be found unless you get lucky and stumble upon it. If you think it may have been stolen, call your provider and report it as such. Regardless, call them and get that line temporarily suspended just in case someone else did find it and is trying to use it.

Even if you had the "where's my droid" app or any like that, if the phone's off, I don't think it works. I'm so sorry to hear that! I'd die without my phone :(

LookOut...Prey...SeekDroid. If you don't have one of these...get it now.

To the OP...sorry. I even did a quick google scan and didn't see anything.

Lost as in not around your house? Lost at your house? Have you looked in your car in between the seats? Mine always falls out of my back pocket in the car. Have found it down the clothes shoot too. I keep mine on vibrate, so it's kind of a pain when I lose it. You never know, someone might find it today. The battery is dead though? Hope you find it soon! :) Also maybe you can call all the places you were yesterday.
