What's your Non Food Stress Buster?

I find myself with my normal life stress, job, kids, house, hubby, elderly parent etc... and I have been doing a good job avoiding my previously favorite coping mechanism for the last 60 days. (WooHoo!!) Food. Particularly sweets. However, lately I am stressing about having the willpower to say no to food during stressful evenings, and have not come up with a new "favorite" stress buster yet. I would love to get some ideas from you all.

I love getting lost in a good book.0

Exercise, sex and wine. Not necessarily in that order, but any day that includes all of those is a good day.0

Exercise if my go-to resort! Or even a nice nature hike... I also LOVE to find new low-cal recipes and cook them!
Best question to ask yourself - what do you LOVE to do, but can never seem to find the time??0 -
I find keeping my hands busy, usually reading or cross stitching will keep me from reaching for food0

I love going to the Metro Parks and walking. It helps me relieve stress and at the same time helps me achieve my goal - Loose Weight! lol

I feel same way you do. Kids, Hubby, House, Job and etc, so at the end of days after kids in bed, I treated myself to a bubble bath with a scent that pushes my hunger and stress away. It's help me, so maybe you could try something like a scent candle that smells like chocolate, cinnamon, cherry, apple, pumpkin spice etc.. I use the scent candle around me while I am in my bathtub or reading my book and while smelling the scent, I dont feel hungry or feel so stress. It's help me alot that I been struggle for few months. Thanks to the book "Prevention" stating about those scent smelling. It help! So I hope it give u some idea? Add me as friend if you wish! :flowerforyou:
Yes I would say exercise does help sometime if I can get away.0 -
Exercise and listening to a good relaxation cd. Wine, at times does the trick too, but I guess that wouldn't be considered non-food0
