Hunger

This is a really random question but it has been bugging me all day.

So people say to only eat when you are hungry. But I know that if you are thirsty then it means that your body is dehydrated and you have left having a drink to long. Is it the same for hunger? I have no real need to know this apart from being curious.

i really don't know the answer, good question...
but what i have noticed is that this week so far, i have actually allowed myself to get hungry and stay hungry for a while before eating. i have lost more weight doing that.
