I would sincerely caution you about tanning over a burn .. Seriously .. Although tanning causes damage on it's own when it is done in small dosages .. You will seriously do more harm than good by overdoing it. Why not skip a day, and let your skin heal a little? Missing one day won't delay the tanned result you are striving for.

You are gaining control of your life and have been doing awesome with your weight loss .. THIS is not the time to start taking your health for granted.

Okay I'm a total buzzkill I know. But just be careful. I loved tanning too, but as soon as I stopped I had to have two malignant moles removed that were a result of tanning and I am only 31. :-(

not insulting or anything but tanning to Much will Equal a old leather skin when You're older. Wrinkles...
  • yikes...take off a couple of days...
  • That sucks that you burnt! I've never purposefully gone out into the sun (I don't go to tanning booths) after being burnt, but wouldn't that make it worse?

Wrinkles .. and old skin .. Yep .. but worse ... There are three major types of skin cancer — basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.

You can reduce your risk of skin cancer by limiting or avoiding exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation...and more importantly avoid burning and further compromising a burn .. AT ALL COSTS!

Oh my my, Oh hell yes. Youve got to put on that Party Dress.

Oh sorry.... just reminded me of that song. Anyways.... lay off the tanning until your burn heals. And IMO - forever. :flowerforyou:

That is why you need to get a base tan... Don't go after getting burned, it will just peel off. You are also causing unnecessary pain to yourself. Wait a week until your skin heals up, I go maybe once in a blue moon so be careful. I remember when I first went, I had burnt butt cheeks! It hurt to put jeans on! Lol! Be careful!
