Anyone here take their heart rate manually during working out? Seems like few do.
Too cheap to buy a HRM right now.

I do occasionally. The reason people use HRM's is that they can track you heart rate over the course of the entire exercise period and make calculations (I.e. Calories burned) based on that information. It's pretty tough to get an accurate average heart rate when you're taking it manually.0
