Weird...but sort of a victory...I guess

I work in an office...had a big lunch about 20 minutes ago (big in volume, but only 300 calories), and I'm stuffed. Not at all hungry. At all.

But, as I was reading an email, I looked down and realized that somewhere in the last 5 minutes, I had just gone to my snack drawer, pulled out a snack, and eaten it, without even being aware that I had done any of that. Eating out of habit or boredom. That part isn't good.

But, the good thing is, what I ate was a 30 calorie rice cake...one I already logged in anticipation of a snack in a couple of hours. so, no harm done, but it's weird...

Anyone else found themselves with a few crumbs left of food that they hadn't really been aware they were eating?

Yea... the other day at work we were having a party and I just grabbed a brownie bite, put it in my mouth, chewed and swallowed and said "WTF??? I didn't want to eat that!"

I am trying not to eat butter on my bread but before I realise it the butter is out and being spread on my bread. It is muscle memory taking over with out permission from your brain. It takes some time to re-train yourself.
  • Yes! It used to be all the time... Now occasionally it's like my brain turns off my the sensor from my hands and stomach and then before I know wham there's food in my stomach I didn't intend to eat!
