I am looking at doing some at home workouts with my running program, and need to find out what some of the better programs are, what give the best results but are doable...

I also want to know the average length the workouts are on the DVDs, for example, is each session or workout 30 mins or 45 mins or an hour?

Any and all info will help me make a choice!

Any input from what everyones favorites are will help me decide too! Especially any who are near the same fitness/weight level as me!

Thanks in advance!!

Judging by what everyone says on here, 30 Day Shed should get you the results you want (ordered mine yesterday). It is 20 minutes long and you do it every day, picking from 3 levels - there are some before and after photos in the success' forum I think and the results for people are amazing!

I have however lost quite a few pounds by doing the zumba dvds every day. There are several work outs ranging from 20 mins to 60 mins - it's more fun and less boring than your run of the mill dvds, but the music can become a bit annoying if you do it every day!

Good luck with whatever you do!

Really ...best is all relative, it depends on you and your fitness level, time, schedule, focus, etc.

You may want to check out collagevideo.com they have a complete break down of exercise videos (including time, areas focus, USER RATINGS, etc.) It's a great resource!

Love Insanity. It's very intense and will definitely get you the results you want. I use it with running too.

    This!!!

Collage is a really useful tool to narrow video choices down. I have two left feet & need low impact (wonky knee) - this website helps tremendously. Collage even tells you what equipment you need.

I have lost 38 pounds doing Jillian Michaels workouts. Started with 30 Day Shred(20 minutes) then did Ripped in 30 (about the same time length). Have also done Banish Fat Boost Metabolism(about 50 minutes) No More Trouble Zones ( about 50 minutes and probably my favorite, great for toning). Have also done Shred it with Weights, 6 Week 6 Pack, and am currently doing Killer Buns and Thighs. And the name does not lie! Its great. Like the poster above says, it all depends on what you are looking for. Good Luck!

The only DVDs I care for is Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. All the others are too hard to follow and make me feel stupid for not being coordinated. 30DS was fine to follow, but I didn't care for Jillian's style.

Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, Chalean Extreme, Leslies Sanone WATP, etc... You can also check www.collagevideo.com for dvds.. It gives you the break down of the dvds and also reviews.

I have had great results with Jillian I have to say - I have done 30DS but if the workouts do feel short if you are pretty fit. I have had amazing inch loss and toning results from banish fat boost metabolism and no more trouble zones, and am now about a week into 6 week 6 pack. the latter is on the shorter side as its about 40 mins including warm up and cool down. The other 2 say 40 mins but with warm up and cool down its more like 55. Basically, all my exercise DVDs that I think give a good all over workout are around the hour mark from start to finish.
