Im doing everything I should, logging in all my food, eating as good as i can, staying as close to my calories as possible and i workout almost everyday. But i cant stop feeling like im not going to lose any weight. Did anyone eles feel like this when they started out? Is it possible that someone can do everything rite and not lose any weight?

your profile says you lost 8 lbs between june and july. That is fantastic!

even if you lost nothing between july and today, if you have been close to your calorie goal and exercising like you say, then you will see another loss soon enough.

I feel that way almost every week. I seem to have the glass half empty personality though. That way I am happy when I am wrong! Even if the scale doesn't move much don't get down, it's not about the numbers, its about being healthy!
  • the mistake most people make is giving up too soon, at fisrt you may see weight loss then weight gain. this is caused by an increase in muscle mass due to physical training, which will turn into fat loss in a few weeks . just hang tough and work your butt off

Losing weight in a healthy and sustainable way is a slow process and it can get a little frustrating! But healthy lifestyle changes rather than fad diets are the way to go to lose the weight, get healthy, and keep the weight off! Fad diets where you drop pounds super fast tend to be unrealistic in the long run, causing you to gain back pounds lost and then some. Try to stay focused....good things come to those who wait.

It will happen. Just make sure you are eating your exercise calores. A common mistake people might make is to keep their calories low and then exercise like crazy. What they don't realize is that if thw body isn't getting the calories it needs due to the amount of energy being burned with exercise, it thinks it is going into starvation mode so it holds on to its extra fat cells literally for dear life. Eek! Been there, done that. so I know it's true.

All the best, you will do fine! :flowerforyou:
  • Sounds as if you really do not believe that you are in control. Be patient, persistent and you will come to realize that you are - and it is a great, powerful feeling. With more experience you can refine your diet plan to what will work best for you - for example some people (like me) enjoy faster results if they manage carb intake to a lower number than the site suggests, I have heard that others manage fat intake as well as calories.

Give yourself every possible chance to succeed. Decide what is important to you and tailor your diet and exercise accordingly. I would suggest that you are very conservative about "eating back" all of your exercise calories. This seems to mess many up,

Thanks everyone i'm not planning on giving up i just get frustrated when i see people losing 10lbs a month and the i look at their food diary and i'm eating way healthier than they are and i'm only losing 1lb a week. Also I've always been over weight so its hard for me to believe that i can actually be my goal weight. it seems impossible but i see success stories on here every day so i know it can be done.

I've been struggling since July, have only lost like 12 lbs. I too get frusterated seeing people drop 30lbs in 3 months. I am determined to stick with it though. Figure at least I will look by next summer as long as I keep doing what I am doing. Keep reminding myself that this is not a race and I gotta just keep up with it.

When I first joined I was only eating 800 calories a day and not even realizing that that wasn't good for me. I would have cereal for breakfast, a 100 cal popcorn and yogurt for lunch, and then lean chicken or fish and one vegetable for dinner. And that was it. So when the site told me I had to ADD calories to lose weight I was skeptical. At first I did gain a little weight, and then it started to come off, and now I'm pretty much maintaining. Trust the site, give it time, and try to remember that it's a marathon not a sprint. :)

I feel that way every day :/ and when I work out I constantly second guess myself like I wonder if this is how other people work out, I bet I'm not doing it right, I bet i'm not doing enough ect, ect... I can't really help you seeing as I can't help myself but when I start to lose weight I am hoping that will change good luck.. YOu can do it just have patience!
