Welcome! You have started...just by posting this, you took your first step!

Start small...if you don't exercise, go take a walk, but eat the same, but log it....give it a few days of that, then starting tweaking your food intake...keep logging, but start making smart choices.... ex: skim milk instead of whole milk in cereal...take each day slowly and steady....soon you will find that you are making more and more right choices and walking further and further...and you'll want to commit 100%.
Don't tell yourself you can't, it is more like you won't...you CAN do this!
  • I am a High School Principal's secretary and the other 2 ladies in my office and I started MFP about 2 weeks ago. We are all 3 loving it! We are so amazed at how many calories we have actually been eating all along. If nothing else, this helps us be more aware of just what we are eating. Hang in there and don't give up!!

I agree...you have started just by becoming an MFP member. Slow and steady wins the race. Don't beat yourself up.

Yes..give yourself some time. I used to be the one that had to see results immediately and was easily frustrated when I couldn't get started. It's so much better to make small changes daily and eventually see results. Just by logging in you are doing something. The day will come where you will be under your calorie goal and you will celebrate that success. Good luck...this website is a wonderful tool to changing your life.

    This! Great advice here.

Start small and don't try to change all at once if it seems like too big a challenge. Signing up here WAS the start. :) You've already started :D<3
