What to do with a bag of potatoes?

I have a bag of brown potatoes. I need ideas on using them besides the ones I already have.
I usually bake them to eat with some chicken and veggies,
Or I cook them with lean beef and taco seasoning for a toasty mexican dish
or I cut them up and put them in with some olive oil to fry them a bit and make burritos.
I'm also burnt out on making dries and anytime I tried to make soup it came out terrible.
Does anyone have any ideas? They don't have to be super healthy, just anything that doesn't require deep frying them.

Mash? goes with your meat and veggies
Or put your mash on a dish full of mince and onion and call it cottage pie0 -

my favorite way to eat potatoes is this:
make fresh regular mashed potatoes (with milk and butter)
when its done add some curry powder (acc to your taste)
put it in an oven dish and add some light grated cheese on top
put it in the oven for a few minutes, or until cheese has melted

Roast them. Chop into cubes, drizzle a little olive oil on them, coat lightly with your favorite seasonings - I like onion/garlic powder, ranch dressing, seasoned salt, creole mix - whatever flavors you like - and roast in the oven on a cookie sheet until they're cooked through.
Leave the peels on - that's where most of the potassium is.
Or just microwave them - a medium potato is five minutes, and put your favorite toppings on. Salsa is great! Quick and easy meal.0 -

I use mine for either Tuna or Salmon patties (receipe on the link on my signature)
I slice them, give a quick spray of canola oil and some mixed herbs still them in the oven on 230c for about 30-35 (Chips)
I use them in curry or some casseroles.
U could aslo make a tuna bake. Slice them, cook some pastra line a baking dish with the potato, add the pasta (whatever veggies you want to use) top with cheese (I also add some dried chiili). put in the oven for about 30 on 180c.

I make lovely healthy chips with mine.
Leave the skins on and cut into chips then spray a baking sheet with 1 cal spray, add the chips and spray them with the oil and add some herbs and spices. I like to sprinkle garlic and smoked paprika on mine.
Bake for around 20-25 mins on around a 200 degree heat.0 -

Juggle with them - good for heart, coordination, core and upper body.

How about eating some whole grain brown rice once in awhile to change things up. I cup of cooked rice is similar to eating a baked potato only the brown rice gives you more fiber and will make you feel full and it is high in carbs so it gives you tons of energy. 1 cup doesn't sound like much, but I am a big man and it fills me up. Also it is a complex carb so your insulin level won't spike and it also will help with high blood pressure. I had to start eating rice because I am currently in the Philippines and potatoes are hard to find here. Another great thing about brown rice is you don't feel the need to put butter and salt on it like I know I do with a baked potato. Add mixed vegetables and and chicken and you'll have a great tasting meal. Good luck!0

I love to do mashed potatoes with fresh taters and not instant crap!!
Also... I love to do Roasted Onion Oven Potatoes..
INGREDIENTS
1envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
4medium all-purpose potatoes, cut into large chunks (about 2 lbs.)
1/3cup vegetable oil - or 1 stick margarine/butter melted
I cut them up and put them into a gal zip lock.. Then pour in the butter/marg/oil and then pour
in the onion soup mix. Zip and use your hands to mix around. Let sit for a few mins and then
pour into a non-stick (Pam'd) baking dish.
Preheat oven to 425°. Bake, stirring occasionally, 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown.

I know you said you suck at making soup, but that's my favorite use of potatoes. Potato soup is SO GOOD & even better leftover. Plus it's really easy & takes hardly any time to make.
Potato salad is another one of my favorite things. Mashed potatoes are easy. You could make homemade fries in the oven using unique seasonings that you haven't already. I also like to snack on raw potato wedges with salt, but I think I might be the only one.0 -

These are good for breakfast (less fat than hash browns) and as a side for dinner.
Baked Potato Patties
6 medium potatoes scrubbed
2 tablespoons onion, minced
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt
Herbs or spices of choice
Preheat oven to 375º.
Shred the potatoes coarsely.
Mix with the onion, salt, pepper, flour, and herbs and spices of choice.
Shape into rounded patties and place on a piece of parchment paper on a
baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Then set broiler to high and brown for a few minutes. Make sure to monitor so
that you do not burn potatoes or parchment paper.0 -
I like roasting them along with carrots (or other root veggie of choice) and onions. Gives me the satisfaction of a bit of potato along with the healthfulness of the other veggies. Or hash browns and a fried egg for lunch after a workout, cuz it's yummy and satisfying and a little naughty0
