I'm wanting to reduce my sugar intake as feel that this is why I cannot seem to lose weight from my lower belly and love handles. What should I set my daily allowance to?

I've just started this week to reduce my added/processed sugars but I'm not worrying about sugars in fruit and dairy etc. I know that many people disagree with this idea, but I think that if the sugar comes along with added fibre, calcium and assorted nutrients then I'm OK with that. It's also an easier way to start than trying to cut out every single thing that has sugar of any kind.

My sugar numbers are still pretty high so don't use them as a guide! If you are currently under the regular MFP regulation then why not just reduce it a little bit and see how this works for you, I don't think there is going to be a magic number where the flabby bits just start to disappear - all I've read and heard says that you need ot reduce fat overall to get rid of fat from anywhere.
  • Yes, I was wondering about fruit, it really bumps the grams up though still doesnt it!! Has to be better then eating chocolate etc though. I find that my cereal in the mornings still has quite abit of sugar in it even though it is meant to be healthy-bran flakes! At the minute I have my sugar allowance set at 25g but finding this pretty hard to stick to.
