too much !!

How can you have too much fibre ?
I always thought that the more fibre the better. MFP daily goal for fibre is apparently 14. Yesterday I had a bowl of cereal 5g fibre, green salad 6g fibre, 1/2 onion 1g, 1/2 courgette 1g,1 crispy fruit finger 1g and boiled potato 3g - total 17g. . Is this really too much !!!!
What do other people think ??

    It's recommended for women up to 50 have at least 25 g per day.

    I really don't think that going 3g over is going to make a huge difference. Just use the gram system as a reference to go by. If you go over or under - it's not a big deal. Just don't go WAY over or WAY under.

    I wouldn't worry about the numbers, your body will tell you if you've had too much fibre when you go running to the bathroom.
    If everything there is normal, keep going as you are :)

    that is not enough
    go into your edit pages and change the amount of fibre to 25 or 30g I just ignore it and eat what I want of fibre

    I eat a lot of vegetables and typically go over the minuscule goal MFP sets for me, sometimes by double! I don't *try* and eat fiber, it just happens for me because of my diet. :)
