Scale Switching

So, since I've started my healthy living plan, I have been using my home scale to track my weight loss - one of those lovely dial sort that wavers up and down when you get on it before finally settling on a number. This morning I weighed myself on the work scale, which is digital. I was certain I would find out my home scale was grossly under-reporting my weight, but was delighted to find the digital scale reads two pounds lighter. Two pounds. I last weighted myself four days ago, according to my tracking here, so it's highly doubtful that I've actually lost two pounds in such a short period of time.
Anyway, despite my inclination to switch scales simply because it does read two pounds lighter, what do you think about scale switching? Should you stick by your original scale no matter what? Also, what types of scales do you think are best to accurately record your weight?

I want to know the answer to this too. I need to buy a new scale and I'm not sure what kind is best.0

My scales, no matter what kind I use, never matches up with the doc's scales. I found though that between the regular old dial scale and the digital that my digital was much closer to that of my doctor's. So, it's out with the dial and in with the digital. At least, I have a definite weight number with the digital and I am so obsessed with those numbers. Too obsessed :ohwell:0

I have to say that I really like my digital scale more because it measures body fat % and water %. So on days when I gain I can look and see that it might be a water gain, and not worry. Or a fat % gain and really motivate myself to work extra that day!0

I love my digital scale, mainly because its able to give me exact numbers.
I dont want to see 50. I want to see 50.2!
I;ve also started taking measurements so I'll see how that goes.0 -
i prefer digital and I track from the same single scale for my official weight. i never weigh the same from scale to scale home to dr, etc. I even have (2) of the same exact scale one in my bathroom and one in the guest bathroom, even those don't match up.0

I love my digital scale because it weighs to the .2lb.
However.... I caution getting a new scale at this point. I'd been doing fine with our digital scale, but it was getting old, and I wanted a newer one... more sleek looking for our bathroom. So... I bought one. And wouldn't you know it.... this new scale consistently weighs me in at either 1.4 or 2.2 HIGHER than my old scale. So frustrating. I tried to weigh some weights on both the old and new scale to see which was more accurate, both were off!
Anyway, for me, I put the new scale in the closet and I don't want to take it out until I reach my goal weight. I figured.... I'd keep weighing myself with my old scale (since that is what I've used from the start -- to keep consistent). I know it's all in my mind, but... I feel better keeping my old scale for now!!! :-)0
