Protein shakes are good options. I do Isopure zero carb and Cytomax after an intense workout. It's an almost equal carb to protein ratio and at about 190 calories, definitely fills me up and replenishes some nutrients. Last night, after an intense leg workout, I munched on an apple which is a carb source and that held me over until I got home and fixed dinner.0

eat ~30 min before you work out (yogurt, banana, granola bar...), it really helps.0

I have an apple and a small glass of chocolate milk.0

I bring a protein bar with me and have that after I'm done.0

I eat a small meal with a higher carb ratio about 1/2-1 hour before working out, then a protein shake immediately after. I was having the same problem, and this regime seems to have really stabilized me.0

Bananas are a good option because of the potassium. Sometimes when I work out, I get BAD charlie horses in the middle of the night- the potassium in bananas helps prevent that. Putting some low-fat peanut butter will make it a little more filling and yummy too.0

Yo are not eating enough before your workout! Try eating a small amount of goodhealthy carbs about 30 minutes before your workout.. and then after you should try a protein shake or a small glass of chocolate milk0

Your body needs protein after a work out to assist in recovery. The best thing I have found is using whey protein. If I am not ready for a meal yet or I am just too hungry at that point I have a protein drink to help kill the starving feeling then after a little while have my meal.0
