No. YOU started the topic. I gave my opinion. Just like many of you do when others start topics like TOM, HCG, or other things you're sick of seeing. I'm sick of seeing the same complaints over and over again from the same people.

Things were going great here until you came along. You do this to several threads, probably with intentions of getting them locked down. You post one comment, and suddenly it blows up into something no one wants. For a visual, you start off as a little red bump, that no one thinks anything of. Next think you know, you're a whole f*cking herpes outbreak!

Why do we need so many new threads on "don't be oversensitive", "we will tell you the truth", "don't be offended", "stop reporting crap"????????? Seriously. Most of the people starting these threads would be the same ones to tell someone to use the search feature before starting a new thread. So, "not trying to offend anyone", but could we stop with these same topics day after day? Because people clearly need constant reminding that they are adults on an adult site and should stop behaving like children, that's why. I'd rather see real advice and legitimate posts like this one day after day than a stupid TOM or HCG thread.

I agree that many topics can be searched first. Including this one. And I also agree that this is an adult site and people should stop behaving like immature teenagers. We probably differ on what we consider "adult" and "childish", though. I'd rather see a TOM, HCG or eating calories back topic than the immature ones some people start when using sexual inuendos. That just seems so childish to me sometimes. Maybe because I work with high school boys all day, but some of the stuff on here is exactly how my students behave. I know we don't agree. Just adding my two cents.

For all I care, you can keep your two cents and do something more useful with it. My advice is worth more than that.

Yet another example of someone getting 'offended' when they're the same person complaining about others getting offended. Why does my opinion offend you, yet yours shouldn't offend anyone?

I don't know what that means. I'm on the forums a lot and reply to many topics. Just as some of you jump all over the "repeat posts" and tell people to use the search feature, I can do the same thing. There is a group on here who likes to complain about the oversensitive people here. When those same people are told something about their own topics, they get all upset. It's just funny to me. So, do I go out searching for topics to complain about? No. But, if I see one that is the same thing over and over again, I can comment just like certain others do. If I can tell in the topic title that it's something I want nothing to do with, I won't even open It.

I am asking nicely that you not generalize. I've never once told someone to go search something. If I know the answer, I answer, if not, I don't. If I think they are trolling, I just might be snarky for fun. That is not to say I don't support my friends for asking people nicely to try the search function first.

Many of them. They probably don't entertain you as much, so you don't notice them.

I have to say, Mac, you seem awfully fixated on trying to call out and piss off VV here. I'm wondering why? And yes, there is something wrong with calling out others and calling them hypocritical. And this isn't the first time I've seen it on a thread you don't like.

VV's point is that when people ask for advice on diet stuff or other stuff, really, they're gonna get honest answers from certain people. It doesn't help people to not point out where there appears to be a problem. But then folks get all huffy about being "nice". If you want "nice" relationship advice, for example, don't ask for "opinions" on whether you were wrong or not on a public internet forum. That seems like a recent example. She is talking about legitimate issues on the forum. It appears you've come on to this thread to make abundantly clear that you just don't like her or her friends. That's different. That's personal.

No...that's not what I'm trying to do at all. And I really am sorry if it came across like that. This isn't a personal attack on the OP and her friends, and not an attempt to piss her off. I'm just trying to make a point that this thread can be seen as the other ones the OP is talking about.
