I think just fresh raw fruits and veggies always the best snack. If you're looking for more flavor try dipping carrots in hummus. The sugar for some of them can be high, but it's all natural.

i LOVE air popped popcorn. I add a little bit of olive oil spray and then sprinkle it with spices (cumin, cayenne pepper, sage, whatever is around). It's crunchy and low-calorie and very satisfying.

my favorites are hummus and baby carrots; cheese stick with a pear or apple
  • I found dark chocolate almonds from Blue Diamond in 100 calorie snack packs. They are like eating a candy bar without all the sugar.

Just made some spiced roasted chickpeas. Gives you a good crunch and a bit of flavor like eating chips.

2 cups chickpeas (I use the dried ones and soak them overnight)
    1T lemon juice
    3/4T olive oil
    1t dark brown sugar
    1.5t cumin
    .5t dried coriander
    1t ground cinnamon
pinch of black pepper and cayenne

Bake at 375 for about 35-40min or until crunchy

1/4 cup is 90cal, 2 fat, 4 protein, 5 fiber, makes 6 servings, and dirt cheap to make.

    Some of my go-to favorites:

small apple with natural peanut butter

    (portioned!) pita chips with hummus

homemade trailmix with nuts - raisins - Small amount of chocolate....sadly this snack has to be way smaller than I would like to be...higher in calories....

cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, strips of pepper with hummus again - maybe a different/fun flavor?

    cheese stick with 5 saltines

Chobani yogurt in either blueberry, strawberry, cherry or pineapple. Yum.

    Good luck!

This sounds incredible! I'm definitely making this!

I love having red bell pepper strips with humus, and then a piece of fruit (whatever's in season) if I'm still hungry (which I usually am). :o)
