Good stuff, I love trail mix. I have been wanting to make my own. I don't usually have it much less I am out doors, But have thought about trying to make my own so I can make it a bit less in calories then what I find in the store. don't know if it's possible though. I have seen so many kinds that look awesome but have gluten in them. So anyways, just wanted to mark this post for ideas too.0

i'll let you guys know what i end up using!0 -
Chocolate or yogurt covered raisins are a great idea, too. There's a website that I'm slightly obsessed called mixmygranola.com. You can make granola. Different from trail mix but they have ingredients there that you wouldn't normally think of adding. Dried fruits are always a good option, too.0

I bought some dry roasted hazelnuts this week as a change for almonds and they were YUMMY.
I have also added dried coconut and crispy corn to trail mix.
And chocolate coated fruit or nuts for an extra treat!0 -
Maybe multigrain cheerios or Kashi (the warm cinnamon is delicious!) um, marshmellows maybe? Pretzels...I think you covered most of it tho!0
