How do you do it! I drink masses of water when it's warm, but the very idea of it today makes my lips turn blue! I just want tea!

Try is with organic lemon or lime juice. Warm bottle of water with an ice cube, bottom cover of lime/lemon juice. Not the stuff in the plastic fruit shapes.

Drink herbal tea. It's pretty much water anyway!

My vote is that decaf tea should count as water!

My trainer has asked me to drink 120 ounces of water a day....and let me tell you...it's challenging. Here are some tips I've found that help me get some in, hopefully they may help you or give you some ideas at least.

I have about a 45 min-1 hour commute to and from work. I usually try to fill a 23.7/24 ounce bottle of water before I live and drink all or most of it during each of my commutes. One bottle is about 3 cups of water so this knocks out 6 cups for me. I keep a 32 ounce bottle of water at my desk and sip on that throughout the day, trying to fill it at least twice when I'm at work. I tend to tone down the amount I drink getting closer to bedtime, otherwise I'll be up all night, so the last of it I try to get in with dinner.

Hope thsi helps a bit! I also am a tea drinker and get in at least one cup a day, around breakfast time or just after.

I like to pour hot water over Lemon slices, not for everyone I grant you but warming and healthy, a spoonful of Manuka honey in it is nice, still counts as water. Liquid is liquid is liquid.

I typically prefer room temp beverages over ice cold any time of year.

I can't stand room temp liquids and am allergic to citrus!

Peppermint tea it is then. In gallon-loads.

It doesn't have to be cold :)

I good way I get my water in is drinking it through a straw. I just tend to drink it faster so I just refill and keep going!

Tea and even coffee can be counted towards your water intake. Plus there's the water you are getting just by eating that never gets counted.

So drink tea. The body really doesn't care what you drink. Everything has water in it and everything hydrates. The only reason doctors push water on overweight people is because of the calories. If you drink something with calories, just make sure you account for it, otherwise it doesn't matter what you drink.

There is no scientific or health reason to prefer water to any other drink, other than caloric difference.

I have read many times that coffee does not count as water intake, since its actually dehydrating your body.

That would be false. Coffee is 90% water. It hydrates you just fine.

This. The diuretic myth that you have to drink another cup of water for each coffee/soda you have has long been disproved. Water itself is a diuretic. But the hydration offered from coffee far outweighs the diuretic effect. In fact, your body gets better at getting the fluid from coffee the more you have, to the point where it can become exactly the same as water. Apart from the calories ofc.
