Potbelly's website

Anyone who eats at Potbelly's needs to check out their website. they have a great "meal calculator" that lets you build your meal and then it tells you the exact nutritional details. I was really tempted today to get one of their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (its oatmeal, so its healthy, right? :ohwell: ) Now that I know it is 450 calories, I think I will pass. :noway:

I wish all restaurants would do something like this.

The calculators are great, and I wish more restaurant sites had them, but you have to be careful because some websites are deceiving. I was on the TGI Friday's website and went to the "Right Price, Right Portion" section of the menu. It said that the items were 750 calories or less and I saw these mouth watering asian skewers. So I went to the nutrition page: 1300-1400 a plate!!!!! False advertising? I say yes!

Do a search of their nutrition facts on Google and third party websites have the facts. They have them because here in CA it is law to show nutrition facts at every place. Hope this helps a bit.

Cheesecake factory just came out with a new light menu! See the HG website, she did a review on several items a couple of weeks ago.

Qdoba, Jimmy Johns, and Culvers all also have dynamic interactive meal calculators like that too. I agree, I love that feature especially when they're granular enough to allow you to and or remove specific condiments/ingredients from meal and see the effect it has on your nutritional values.

My office had some of the cookies from potbelly yesterday and I ate a 1/4 of one of the cookes. Crazy amount of calories and carbs in them and they are huge. TGI Friday finally has their nutritional information on-line...finally. We eat their often so I am happy about that! And, I think Olive Garden has their info online too...finally.

Love Panera! And love that they post the calories right on their menu at the restaurant. I'll check out their website too! thanks for the tip.:flowerforyou:

Many chain restaurants have their nutrition information available, since it will be required by law (for those with over 20 locations I believe) nationwide next year.

If it isn't online, ask at the restaurant, they may have a hard copy of it.

Cheesecake Factory just introduced a low-cal menu. I'm patiently waiting for when Cheesecake Factory plans on coming to Canada, mmmm.

I love meal-calculating tools but FYI, for those not aware you can 'delete' items using MFP. For example, if you have the Veggie Feta Burger at Montana's but say hold the feta and mayo all you have to do is log this as -1 tbsp of mayo and -1 slice of feta/or serving of crumbles. This only works on the website rather than app but it’s a great feature.
