Its that time of year when everyone is making and selling brunswick stew here in the south.I have a major weakness for it and have been craving it so bad since the temperature has started to chill.Anyone else have a weakness for brunswick stew?Do you think it is ok to eat during the week on your not cheat day?It has protein and vegetables all in one perfectly delicious meal!Well thats what I'll probably tell myself to justify eating it.

Brunswick stew is a perfectly acceptable meal! Meat, veggies, etc. It really isn't terribly bad for you! I grew up in NC and love it!

I have never heard of it before, so I just googled it. Sounds very good! I googled calories too and it looks like, depending how its made, between 175 and 300 calories per 1 cup serving. So I would go for it as a meal!

    I'm Logan's mom too! My Logan is 17 and he's a senior :)

    Have a great weekend!

I would put it into the MFP recipe builder and see what you're really looking at. It could be fine or you could tweak a few ingredients to do better. It's easier when you see it all the nutriotional info in black and white.

I love it too, especially with a lot of texas pete,no calories but a lot of sodium :( thats why I drink water constantly ,I end up going over my sodium intake a lot even if my calories goal is met or under goal.

I would eat it and then work off the calories in the gym if it tastes that good. But, that's just me.

lmao! yeah can't as bad as those two. There will be a lot of people selling it in the next few weeks so I'm glad it isn't too bad for you because we will definitely be stocking up on it for the cold nights, and the rainy days.
  • It's a very good meal. Just don't do like I like to do and put more crackers than stew in the bowl. LOL!
