not losing... and advice?

Okay maybe you can help me- I have kept track of my calories and carbohydrates before. I have seen a dietitian so I used what they had told me for my calorie intake which was a little less that what MFP said. So my calorie intake is under 1390 which I am always under. I have been using MFP since about the beginning of August. I lost about 6 lbs total and about an inch around my waist. What am I doing wrong - I walk about 4 times a week for an hour or so. I also work at a school and play soccer basketball and jump rope with the kids. Why does it seem like nothing is happening. Someone had posted that this link was very helpful

The link says you might need to consume more calories if you consume under your BMR. I hit the BMR button and figured out mine was 1928. Is that how many it wants me to eat? I struggle to eat the 1200 a day. Any advice greatly appreciated.

The 1928 is the number of calories your body needs to function and maintain your current weight. To lose 1 lb a week you'd have to eat 1500 calories a day. If your dietician recommended 1390 calories a day, you should be losing a little more than 1 lb a week. If you're consistantly under your calorie goal your body MIGHT be in starvation mode and holding on to your fat. I'd give yourself 2 cheat days and eat at least 1600 calories (though I'd try for 2000). That should jump start your metobolism. After that, really try to meet your calorie goal. If you're having trouble, try snacking on nuts, spread on the peanut butter, cut up some avocados, and pour on the olive oil. These are all high calorie healthy fats. Good luck!0

Thanks! I actually set the thing on myfitness to 1400 recently. Thinking maybe if I would eat it, it would be better. My diary actually looks like this:
Friday Calories 1400 Net 1300
Thursday Calories 1389 Net 1120
Wednesday Calories 1402 Net 1040
Tuesday Calories 1175 Net 1024
Monday Calories 1278 Net 1119
Sunday Calories 1069 Net 838
Saturday Calories 1342 Net 1019
Do you think I am going into starvation mode? I don't eat sweets. I drink a lot of decaffeinated unsweetened tea. I have pretty much eliminated soda which was a big step for me now i maybe have one a week. I have also bumped up my calcium intake because I didn't really eat or drink anything with it. I try to have a yogurt more often. I typically eat it between meals if i get hungry. Other than that I really don't snack though. I eat my three meals and that's it.0
