NSV = Non-Scale Victory

When your weightloss successes don't involve the scale. For example, your weight doesn't change, but you lose 2 inches off your waist and can now fit your old jeans. A Non-scale victory.

Seriously though, it means Non Scale Victory (i.e. when the scale is staying the same but you find that you are fitting into smaller clothes, etc)

I had no clue and had made up a bunch of possibilities.

My conclusion was: Non solicited ... something or other. Couldn't come up with a V.

Nice to know what it actually means.

I fit into my old shorts today, haven't been able to wear them all summer. It's fall now and I won't wear them again until the spring probably, but today they fit quite nicely

I guess that's an NSV eh?
