Can anyone with small children and a full time job give me some tips on how they integrated exercise into their daily routine? Right now my schedule is up at 5am, work 7am-4pm, pick up son & home by 4:30pm, dinner by 5 or 5:30pm, son in bed by 8pm. Even with my husband helping, I'm so tired by the time we put Danny to bed that I'm exhuasted and just want to crash on the couch.

Hi! I have been following bodyrock.tv for workouts, they are short but really intense. I work from 7:30-5 and have 2 kids and I always manage to find time to get these workouts in.

I can't help on the timing but I can say from experience that the more you exercise the less tired you will be. It takes a while to kick in and in the beginning I feel even more tired, but after a couple of weeks I am bouncing off the walls with energy. I am starting again so I am in the tired phase but I know it will pass and I can't wait for the energy phase!

I have to work out in the morning -

I get up at 4:30 - exercise for for 45 minutes or so -
shower and wake up 3 toddlers and get them on the school bus at 7 am
    At work at 8 am
Home by 5:30 pm and then all hell breaks loose!

If I don't work out in the morning then it's just not happening!

I do Wii Fit with my kids. That way we have family time too.

I am a military wife with a deployed husband, full time job and a 6 and 4 yr old. My days run like this

I get up at 0445 start working out by 0500 or 0505
Stop at 0600 get kids up and getting dressed.
Get shower and be ready to leave house at 0650
Drop kids off at daycare (so that the older one can catch the bus to school) by 0700
    Get to work by 0730
    Get off work by 430PM
    Home by 5 or 510pm
Dinner, homework, baths, etc complete by.7pm
Downtime/storytime they are in bed by 720pm at the latest so they have time to unwind and go to sleep.
by 8pm I am doing a second workout, get shower, skype husband and go to bed by 11pm.....

Very busy but I have lost 21 pounds Good luck with fitting it in your busy day. You can do it and the energy will come as you do it.In the beginning I was exhausted but just pushed through it. Now I hardly notice that I am busy anymore and I do not feel right if I do not work out.
