Calories per day.

Curious about everyone else's number. Add up all the calories you've eaten every day this month and divide it by the number of days this month. How many calories are you averaging every day? How many calories are you allowed for your goal?
My MFP goal is 1200 calories a day. I am averaging 1550 this month. Only enough to maintain, not lose.
How about you?

for weight loss my goal ranges between 875-1100, for maintaining... anywhere from 1200-1400 :-)0

This will depend on your current height/weight/sex/activity level set by MFP as well as your goal to lose each week.
Currently I weigh 167 and am sedentary and set to lose 1lbs a week. Before exercise calories I get 1390 calories a day to eat. I usually eat about 1500ish calories a day since I eat back about half my exercise calories.0 -
I'm not asking how many calories to eat, I'm curious about everyones actual intake vs. their goal.0

My actual is about 1500 calories a day, but it's still enough to be losing because I'm eating back exercise calories and therefor the goal changes every day unless I don't move off the couch. I've been here for over a year now and when I started it was much closer to 2000 calories but I weighed 75lbs more then.0

Eeeep!
1750 is my monthly average. I'm eating a hellofalot more than I thought I was...and I'm not that active
Thanks for bringing this to my attention though, I really gotta stop stuffing my face so much0 -
Thats what I was thinking too Tubbs! I think I'm going to start averaging things up once a week for whatever the month is to try and keep myself aware of what I'm aiming for vs. what I'm actually doing.0

I think that's a great plan, keeps you more accountable. Great tip0

I track everything on a spreadsheet so I have this info at my fingertips. My target is 2100 calories per day and I average 2024. My net average (total minus exercise calories) is 1698.0

Love this idea!! Just checked mine and I averaged about 1600 per day this month. Had some REALLY bad eating days this last week (night out with hubby and TOM) so it's probably more than usual. That still should technically allow me to lose 1 pound per week.
My goal is set at 1300, which is a bit low for my height/weight. I set it up that way to give me wiggle room so if I do go over 100-300 per day, I know I'll still be able to lose. Sounds weird but after coming from WW and having those weekly allowance points, I needed some wiggle room.
Might just keep track of this from now on. It's a great way to make sure you'lre staying in the limits overall!
ETA: Wish they had the weekly view on the website like they do on the app....0
