not losing as fast as I was :-(

Hi everyone, I'm new here :-)
I started in March at 212 pounds...an all time high!...went to a weight loss clinic and have been taking b12 shots, lipo BC and tenuate, which is a GREAT appetite suppressant. As of this morning I weighed 171. However...I have been teetering between 171-175 for about six weeks now and it's making me sooo sad!
Can it really be that I'm not eating enough? The appetite suppressant works sooo well that half the time it's a real struggle to eat more than 800 calories a day!! Some days I may hit 1,000. I cook healthy meals, we eat out very rarely and the only time I really go over 1,000 is when we go out to eat. This past weekend I ate about 1400 each day, BUT--we had a chocolate cake in the house, so it wasn't healthy calories! :-) Other than that, I don't really eat much junk food.
For working out, I use weights, do crunches and some lower body work with a flexible band. Not really as intensive as I should be doing, but due to a herniated disc I'm nervous to do too much!
ugh! Should I be adding more calories, or would that be counter productive? I REALLY want to lose another 8 pounds by November 4th, I'm seeing a lot of old friends that weekend and want to look good! My ultimate goal is 145.

Your body will adjust to what you give it, so if you have been doing 800-1000 it has learned to survive on that without dropping anymore weight. Sometimes if you eat more you can kick start your metabolism again and get the scale moving. Either that or change up your workout. Sounds like you are on a plateau, do something differently and you'll likely see a change again.0
