  • I see a lot of my friends on diets on facebook, cambridge ones, liquid and totally not pleasant diets. They tell me to do the same so i can loose a load in a short time. But I dont fancy starving myself and drinking unpleasant things just to get there, That sounds like a recipe for failure to me. I need nutrients not starvation and having to pay more for it to! only diets I have ever done is eat right abd exercise, it dosnt cost extra and no one makes money out of it in the dieting industry.

The Jenny craig adds pee me of, sending crap food to peoples houses for a fortune, why cant you just go and get nicer more nutritious stuff yourself?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I have been on Cambridge and even atkins in the past. i'm veggie for the last 3 years. They did serve a purpose in stopping me eating the way I used to. They didn't help me form new eating habits just temporary ones. I did NOT however gain the weight back on that I lost, I never went back to my heaviest which i was before trying atkins.

Yes these metiods are tools, but if a tool helps you do a job then why is that wrong? I know there are sceptics on any diet but I try and stay open minded.

I currently 'use' slim fast or a large supermarket chain alternative, occasionally mainly when I want to stay on track and am finding it hard. I enjoy the shakes personally as I add ice-cubes to make it thick and like a fast food restaurant shake - which I love. lol I don't stick to the plan though i just use them as a tool.. when i want to.

I have learnt - with the help of MFP and my own research what my body needs calorie wise, and agree totally it's calories in v's calories out that matters.

How you take those calories is a personal choice, just as religion, lifestyle and values are, everyone is different.
  • dont think anything is wrong just dosnt work for some people and eating what you always intend to eat seems easier long as its in your calories than crash diets and bad eating habbits .
