i have started to shift my focus from cardio/weightloss to weight lifting/toning/sculpting. i want to get ripped! i was wondering for those of you who have achieved this ripped apperance how long did it take for you to get there or to see major results? any other advice or tips for scultpting and toning would be appreciated as well. thanks.

  • I'm getting there. I actually can see a 6 pack on my abs now. I do Beachbody's TurboFire and Insanity. They are cardio but they also focus on strength conditioning. P90X does that even more. I LOVE TurboFire. It is hard but it's so worth it. My arms and shoulders are toning and my abs and back as well. I can feel solid muscle in my thighs now! Holy crap Batman! I've never had muscle before so I'm totally jazzed.

Getting ripped is a matter of calorie deficit, your weight training will only set you up for tightening, toning, or building muscle. In order achieve that ripped look it all comes down to your calorie consumption. Yes it's time consuming, but the reward is beyond satisfactory. Maintain a calorie deficit, and watch the weight/fat-loss drop like bowling pins! Good luck with the dieting!
