So close but, not even close.

I have so many goals listed on my profile. I haven't met any of them yet and It has been like 8 months ( since I first started this journey). I used to get really upset about that. I wanted to run a 5k...then I moved to a place that doesn't have ANY! I wanted to loose 2lbs a week...ha! My body said nope sorry not gonna happen. Loosing 50 by December....70 by May I am not optimistic. I even changed my goals to be less...deadliney. I wanted to give myself some leniency so I would stop being so disappointed. I started at 226, joined MFP at 220....now I hop on the scale and see 209 and I feel these emotions well up inside of me. Like a fire saying " well...don't stop now". A few more pounds...9 to be exact and I will have met my first goal on MFP. To me ....I feel like I have met my UGW and I haven't even met this goal yet haha. I am so excited all the time , loosing these 9 pounds is all I think about when I am on the treadmill. Right now it is all that matters.
It is actually more than meeting this one goal. It would mean that for the first time in my life I have met a weight loss goal that I set out for myself. In the years of being self conscious and the months of busting my butt finally I did did something I set out to do. It is the best feeling, I hope everyone who is trying to loose will get there. It has taken tears and calorie counting and watching EVERYTHING I ate. I even had a few melt downs but...it is worth it.

Ten pounds is GREAT! I know you feel better already. If it's hard, try setting your goal lose a pound a week. You'll be allowed a little more in calories, and you might make steadier progress that way. That's 52 pounds in a year, but it takes patience. Good luck!0

Don't lose hope, and NEVER give up!
As others have said, why not lower your target to 1lb a week to see if that helps you - I started off with an ambitious 2lbs a week expectation, but quite quickly realised that my body just wasn't going to cooperate no matter what I did, so I lowered my target to 1lb, and you can see the results from my ticker!
The main thing is, we're all on a mission to lose weight, whether it be just a few pounds, or a couple of hundred, we just have to stay motivated, and MFP members are doing a brilliant job of helping each other!
Keep up the fantastic work!0
