1) What size handweights do you use? Mine are 2kg and some exercises are fine (still on L1) but some feel almost impossible!

2) What category do you use to log your exercise in the diary?

    I use 2kg weights as well. I log it as 'circuit training-general' :)

    I only used 0.5 kg but I think the average is 3-5 pound weights. Log it under circuit training for 27 mins. I changed my cals to an average of 200 each session. If you use the search function you will find hundreds of threads about 30ds.
  • I started out using 1.5kg weights and have worked up to 2kg. I can't do all of the exercises with the 2kg weights though so I swap between them!

    I record it as circuit training.

    Im almost on level three now and i use 1kg and 2kg weights
    Most exercises i can do with the 2kg but some i need to drop back to the 1kgs
    I try to use the 1kg weights for those exercises for 3-4 days, then have one weight of each size in each hand (then alternate hands in the next set) for 3 days then can usually manage to move up to the 2's

    I started with 2lb wts and am still using them although now at 8 days into Level 2 I think I am ready to use 3 lb on some routines. We'll see how Level 3 starts out real soon...lol

    I started logging as Circuit training but I think that 30DS is more along the calistheitcs line instead but honestly the calorie count is almost identical for a 20 minute workout (I don't count the warm up).

  • I'm waiting for my dvd to come in the mail. All I have at home now are 5lb hand weights, so should I get 3lb for this video. I'm used to doing exercises for the arms with the 5's. Any suggestions???
